Borgo Acquaiura is located in the Center of Italy, in Umbria region, a few km from the medieval town of Spoleto. The village was founded around 1000, on a hill 750 meters high ,at the foot of mount Fionchi. It has been inhabited for centuries by farmers and was a refreshment place for the papal troops and messengers who camped in the valley near the source of water, hence the name Acquaiura .
The village includes two narrow streets ,few houses and a Church built in honor of San Michele Arcangelo. The village has been restored with traditional materials and respecting its history.
In the village indipendent houses are rented for weekly stays from April to October.
The houses are elegantly furnished and equipped with all comforts.
The village is the ideal place to visit the center of Italy, the medieval towns of Umbria (Spoleto, Todi, Assisi, Montefalco, Gubbio, Trevi, Norcia, Cascia) and natural beauty such as the Marmore waterfall, mount Vettore and Piediluco lake.
In the center of the garden there is the swimming pool with sun beds, deck chairs, umbrellas and shower.
The houses overlook a 10000 sqm garden with lawn and flowers.
Guests can also go out for a walk and jogging in the valley.
